Home / Stow on the Wold / Old Manse Hotel Old Manse Hotel
The Old Manse Hotel, was built for the Baptist minister Benjamin Beddome in 1748 as a reward from the locals so that he would not be tempted away to work in London or Bristol. The hotel is literally on the banks of the River Windrush in the centre of Bourton On The Water. For centuries the area has been the a tourist attraction as a typical Cotswold village. We serve our full menu throughout the bar and restaurant and aim to suit all taste buds. We have extended our Riverside Patio to accommodate extra people so that you can watch the world go by in the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. Also, for those of you looking for a quieter spot, we have a small pond-side patio at the rear of the restaurant. For our guests' comfort, the whole building is now non-smoking, this does include the bar area and all of our rooms. Please be aware that the hotel has no lift or ground floor rooms. Rooms from: £70 Number of rooms: 15 Restaurant: Bar: Free Parking: Address:
