Red Lion Hotel

The inn overlooks the old village green. The bar has a list of landlords dating back to before the Civil War. In the civil war, the inn was a Royalist-owned hostelry. The restaurant serves the best English and Continental cuisine, and the hotel offers facilities for small private functions and conferences. The Red Lion is an appropriately tawny colour to suit the noun, if not the adjective, in its name. A former coaching inn, it has old oak decoration and stone chimneys. It is most pleasantly situated overlooking the old village green. The bar has a list of the inn's landlords, dating back to before the Civil War, when it was a Royalist owned hostelry.
